Roblox studio team create1/21/2024 ![]() ![]() Since then, the company has repeatedly insisted it is committed to ensuring its gaming platform is a positive and safe experience for players of all ages. The Roblox Corporation has been the focus of controversy in recent years, having grappled with accusations it was "exploiting" young game developers and creating an unsafe environment for children. Today's announcement continues Roblox's expansion into new areas following the traditionally child-focused platform's launch of a new 17+ age category - for titles containing "violence, blood, or crude humour", "romantic themes", and the "presence of alcohol" - late last month. To that end, Roblox Studio will add "VR" as a new device type on the Creator Dashboard and Game Settings panel at some point in "the next few days" - meaning developers can start preparing their games for Meta Quest (restricted to users ages 13+) ahead of the public-facing open beta's launch. While Roblox has previously supported VR through PC headsets, the jump to Meta Quest will see it introduce a new standalone VR mode for untethered devices. Watch on YouTube ![]() ![]() ![]() I tried finding another way to insert the animator object (apart from scripting), but I didn’t find any - the methods referenced on the Animator object page are deprecated, so I’d rather not use them.To see this content please enable targeting cookies. (Though I have seen objects disappear in Roblox Studio, so who knows?) This creates the animator object inside the rigs humanoid.īut maybe it doesn’t really create it? Or only for me, locally? It’s stored in the game, I see it when I open it again. Even if that animation doesn’t do anything and doesn’t have any keyframe. It’s happening on SPECIFIC places, possibly only group-owned Team Create places. EDIT 3: I’ve heard Roblox staff say they think this is related to place size, but that doesn’t make sense given what devs are saying. Apparently the only way to create one inside the humanoid - using Roblox Studio, without scripting - is to create an animation (that is, activating the animation plugin and clicking on the rig). EDIT 2: Finally got the place open in Studio only after several attempts. One potential issue I see is the animator object itself. Throw in a a dummy rig and add an animation (uploaded under my name before, so I merely added the ID) and activate Team Create to invite a friend.įrom what I have read so far, this means he should be able to see the animation as well. I’ve created a new “game”, published it, set it to be visible to friends. I know there’s lots of threads about this already, but so far none of them could solve the issue or explain to my WHY it’s an issue. ![]()
